Orhan Seyfi Üstün showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Havertz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ali Orhan Yalvaç got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Nizam Şafak handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind H E P T A N's goalkeeper Orhan Seyfi Üstün, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bozkurt were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after H E P T A N's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Philippe Albert took the corner. Bozkurt's Muhammet Çetinel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. H E P T A N's Orhan Seyfi Üstün proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save H E P T A N from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Kai Havertz sped through H E P T A N's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Orhan Seyfi Üstün. H E P T A N's Orhan Seyfi Üstün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökçe Yalazalp in the 58th minute of play. Nizam Şafak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Orhan Yalvaç in the 59th minute of play. H E P T A N made a substitution. Ahmet Kağan Çelikel replaced İlhami Akkurt. H E P T A N's Osman Akdurmuş was substituted for Murat Şenalp. Bozkurt made a substitution. Mustafa Hakan Sufi replaced Kai Havertz. Bozkurt's Emrullah Erboy was substituted for Adolfo Larrauri. Enes Sulasi made in the 62nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mustafa Namık Baştugay immediately put the ball in play. In the 67th minute Ali Orhan Yalvaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nizam Şafak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erhan Timurkan in the 68th minute of play forced Bozkurt's goalkeeper Nizam Şafak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. H E P T A N's Orhan Seyfi Üstün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emrullah Erboy in the 70th minute of play. Bozkurt's Emrullah Erboy managed to work through H E P T A N's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Emrullah Erboy dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. H E P T A N's attentive Aytuğ Nezihi managed to snatch the ball when Philippe Albert made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Nizam Şafak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhan Timurkan in the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ferdi Kadıoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bozkurt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Orhan Seyfi Üstün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emrullah Erboy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, one of Bozkurt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bozkurt. Aytuğ Nezihi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bozkurt's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
