The crowd rose to their feet as SIDI's Octavio Orlondo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oswaldo Murillo. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Inocencio Raulo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Lizer in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Murillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SIDI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clodoveo Mogel in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Ole-Gunnar Klose's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inocencio Raulo was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Oswaldo Murillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ole-Gunnar Klose made a kick off. When Rodolfo Hori fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Darkness's protests and gave Rodolfo Hori a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Darkness was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Hori to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, SIDI's Inocencio Raulo got control of the ball when Ole-Gunnar Klose tried to sneak it across the goal line.
