Freddy Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Hüsnü Hürsel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roland Nieruchliwy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Michael came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Hüsnü Hürsel. But to his dismay, Hüsnü Hürsel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Cacomixtles de Queretaro booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Etxatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalkeeper Serafin Ugaitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobías Astorga. Roland Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Ugaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobías Astorga in the 39th minute. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Rojas in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Nuevo Laredo booed when Cacomixtles de Queretaro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Henrico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafin Ugaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Etxatxu went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Henrico made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Roland Nieruchliwy took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Mateo Michael to make any attempt to save it. Serafin Ugaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobías Astorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute of the match, Constantino Henrico tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mateo Michael saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Serafin Ugaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Etxatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Roland Nieruchliwy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateo Michael. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Nieruchliwy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Gustav Sefastsson's late challenge caught a Atlético Nuevo Laredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav Sefastsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Gustav Sefastsson got a free kick in the 79th minute. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Osvaldo Lluis was substituted for Atilano Chorache. In the 80th match minute, Cacomixtles de Queretaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Sefastsson to maneuver through the defense. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Serafin Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Rojas in the 82nd minute of play. Serafin Ugaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Rojas in the 84th minute of play. Jonathan Martxot hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Severino Che ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Michael was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Serafin Ugaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Rojas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Cacomixtles de Queretaro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
