In the 2nd minute, Steffen Gimlinge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Universidad Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 5th minute, Steffen Gimlinge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romulo Otsoa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 8 minutes of play, Club Universidad Nacional's Steffen Gimlinge made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Otsoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karel Šnajdr in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Club Universidad Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Cordarius came free, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romulo Otsoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cañani OFF's zone, Angel Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Otsoa came out of the goal and Angel Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romulo Otsoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes of play, Club Universidad Nacional's Steffen Gimlinge made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Otsoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the game, Club Universidad Nacional's Steffen Gimlinge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Otsoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Marcelino Arano's late challenge caught a Club Universidad Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelino Arano helped the player get up and apologised. The Cañani OFF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Universidad Nacional were winning 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steffen Gimlinge to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Universidad Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angel Morales in the 53rd minute. Wladimir Herrera made a great header on Club Universidad Nacional's corner, it was just that Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa managed to reach the ball for a save. A sloppy throw-in by Marcelino Arano in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Universidad Nacional's Ziyäddin Cabbarov. 62 minutes into the match, Steffen Gimlinge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romulo Otsoa. Cañani OFF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Gimlinge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Club Universidad Nacional's Feliciano Frans was substituted for Steffen Gimlinge. Cañani OFF's Emil Duszenski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wladimir Herrera in the 67 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Ignazio in the 71st minute of play forced Cañani OFF's goalkeeper Romulo Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Feliciano Frans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Feliciano Frans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Romulo Otsoa, 0-7. After a rather tough play, Cañani OFF's Marcelino Arano got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Edgardo Rojas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Morales took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romulo Otsoa. Cañani OFF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club Universidad Nacional's Angel Morales pulled a muscle in his leg after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Marcelino Arano got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Cañani OFF's Marcelino Arano got a free kick in the 87th minute. Club Universidad Nacional made a substitution. Gerardo Nesto replaced Angel Morales. A collision led to Cañani OFF getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Marcelino Arano hit a great ball. Eustaquio Mede could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Romulo Otsoa made a huge save. In the 95th play minute Gerardo Nesto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Romulo Otsoa. 0-8.
