After a rather tough play, Club Universidad Nacional's Feliciano Frans got a free kick in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Mehat Kovaçi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnoud de Pelsmakere. Club Universidad Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehat Kovaçi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Mehat Kovaçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Frans in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnoud de Pelsmakere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehat Kovaçi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Feliciano Frans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Equipo's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Frans came free, but Ismael Furman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Nesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Equipo's attentive Sid Todd managed to snatch the ball when Ziyäddin Cabbarov made a throw-in in the 45th minute of the game. Club Universidad Nacional's Gerardo Nesto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Club Universidad Nacional's Steffen Gimlinge was substituted for Feliciano Frans. Club Universidad Nacional's Angel Morales was substituted for Eustaquio Mede.

Equipo's 胡益桦 was substituted for Unai Papachronopoulos. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steffen Gimlinge made a kick off. Ismael Furman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Gimlinge in the 70th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Club Universidad Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Steffen Gimlinge. 91 minutes into the match, Steffen Gimlinge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Furman. Equipo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Gimlinge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Equipo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
