To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Cordeiro came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Cantona in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baron Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baron Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Los Muñes de Don Cuco's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Erramu came free, but Baron Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Vikingos FC were awarded a corner. Arsenio Manuelo went to the cornerflag to take it.
