The supporters of Atletas Campesinos F.C. booed when Gonz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Royal Paladin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Baumer hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Luís Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Hernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Dantae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 73rd match minute, Gonz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Zapolski to maneuver through the defense. Gonz FC's David Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Dantae in the 77th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Luís Hernandez made a precise shot to the right of David Madureira. Gonz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 87 minutes into the match, Eugeniusz Zapolski notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio. Paulo Rosio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gogo Baristo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Atletas Campesinos F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gonz FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
