After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Turgut Soyuer made a kick off. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Long Xiang Yuan in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Chinese CJ Youth Academy got a corner. Santa Margarita's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Turgut Soyuer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aaron Mikolas thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Pontus Nordström, a very annoying self made goal in the 73rd minute which led to 1-0. 76 minutes into the match, Santa Margarita's Mauro Icardi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Abad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute Santa Margarita were awarded a corner. Eduardo De Francesco went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Santa Margarita's corner Eduardo De Francesco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Abad quite easily take care of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santa Margarita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chinese CJ Youth Academy.
