Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Cearense in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Cearense came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Cearense in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Haedo in the 13th minute of play forced FC BAYBURT's goalkeeper Jiang Shu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Nelson Haedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC BAYBURT's Jiang Shu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Ortle. The long shot by Silvain Grootaerts in the 16th minute really tested Alfredo Aguilar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Cearense in the 19th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Cearense in the 22nd minute of play. Jiang Shu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 24th minute of play. The FC BAYBURT fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when FC BAYBURT's Gil Cearense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After 85 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Di Yang Lei. In the 87th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Di Yang Lei to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Backlund during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harry Backlund hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Club Olimpia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Olimpia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
