Vilhelm Larsson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Arkadiusz Piatek came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Utopía Muerta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiusz Piatek couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Arkadiusz Piatek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Adrian was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 17 minutes Poli Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fermin Martinez who took care of the corner kick. 18 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Primeiro. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Brunelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Piatek in the 24th minute of play. In the 30th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Adrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ovidiu Adrian was a little too slow when Armando Amarita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-4. Mano Hume came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Mauro Primeiro. But to his dismay, Mauro Primeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fermin Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 81 in the game by Severo Bermudo from a close distance when the talented Ovidiu Adrian managed to make a qualified save. Poli Timisoara's players were relieved. In the 83rd minute Bartosz Erland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mano Hume saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
