The throw-in from Mikk Tõnuri in the 12th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Olimpia's Edmund Lidberg. Raido Valt got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Golo Cabezudo. 15 minutes into the match, Ata Beyan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Aguilar, 1-0. Nelson Haedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tauri Koha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Tauri Koha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 20th minute of play. Mike van Zeijl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Alfredo Aguilar made a huge save. Tauri Koha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Dune's Tauri Koha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Haedo in the 29th minute of play. Tauri Koha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Haedo in the 36th minute of play. Mikk Tõnuri made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Golo Cabezudo immediately put the ball in play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dune's goalkeeper Tauri Koha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dune's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Denis Inestrosa was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Olimpia's players had a chance to rest. Club Olimpia's Harry Backlund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tauri Koha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Cabezudo in the 45th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Nelson Haedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Tauri Koha made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Dune's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Haedo came free, but Tauri Koha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Lausmäe in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Adolf Lausmäe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Aguilar was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
