Eduardo Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Bermudo in the 6th minute of play. Severo Bermudo took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Baiano. Eduardo Baiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Gala's zone, Anier Johans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Baiano came out of the goal and Anier Johans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Severo Bermudo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano. Eduardo Baiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Utopía Muerta FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl-Magnus Biörkquist was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter Gala's players had a chance to rest. In the 42nd minute Severo Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Rodrigues in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Utopía Muerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Leoncio to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Magnus Biörkquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Severo Bermudo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Utopía Muerta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Utopía Muerta FC's Braulio Hibai was substituted for Severo Bermudo. Utopía Muerta FC's Armando Amarita was substituted for Anier Johans. Eduardo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Amarita, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Eduardo Baiano made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Braulio Hibai sent off a good shot on target. The referee gave Inter Gala a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karl-Magnus Biörkquist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume. 1-3. After having played for 73 minutes, Ramón Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Hibai, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Braulio Hibai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 77 minutes into the game, Edgar Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Gala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utopía Muerta FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Inter Gala's Edgar Souto got a free kick in the 77th minute. Eduardo Baiano was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Braulio Hibai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Braulio Hibai really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Braulio Hibai's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Eduardo Baiano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eduardo Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Amarita in the 85th minute. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heinz Stalder in the 87th minute of play. Braulio Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Hibai in the 90th minute of play forced Inter Gala's goalkeeper Eduardo Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Souto came free, but Mano Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter Gala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Braulio Hibai scored to the left of an out of position Eduardo Baiano, making the score, 1-6. 2-6 became the score in the 98th minute when Heinz Stalder elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
