An unexpectedly hard shot by Jozef Šagáth in the 15th minute of play forced Ghostbusters CF's goalkeeper La Vela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Pinto got free with Róbert Behúň in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute of the match Ghostbusters CF got a corner. FC Kukova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pompiliu Crainic ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Pompiliu Crainic almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň did a great save. La Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jozef Šagáth in the 25th minute of play. Lorenzo Garin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Róbert Behúň made a huge save. In the 35th match minute, Ghostbusters CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Neagu to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Jozef Šagáth made a precise shot to the right of La Vela. Ghostbusters CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Reynaldo Pinto struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Róbert Behúň didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghostbusters CF. La Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Šagáth, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute André Pirlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Kukova were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The throw-in from Pompiliu Crainic in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Kukova's Zhu Zhen Lin. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ghostbusters CF's goalkeeper La Vela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Kukova defense, Radu Trică kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbert Behúň. The FC Kukova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbert Behúň should have stopped the shot. Jozef Šagáth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute of the match FC Kukova got a corner. Ghostbusters CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregório Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 76th minute Jozef Šagáth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Kukova's Jozef Šagáth got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. La Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Šagáth, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Róbert Behúň showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Garin in the 96th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
