Palermo's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Rozarius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Colecchia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Felo in the 28th minute of play forced Seggiano's goalkeeper Eugenio Colecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Seggiano got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Klawki. Isaias Grove got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Carolo Rozarius. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carolo Rozarius in the 42nd minute of play forced Seggiano's goalkeeper Eugenio Colecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Joey made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Daniele Massaro sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Palermo's Maximino Gonzalez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Colecchia narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
The wind increased when Santiago Mino made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Daniele Massaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Joey was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Isaias Grove hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Eugenio Colecchia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Saul Felo got a free kick in the 66th minute. Alessio Nola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Joey. Palermo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfredo Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Klawki in the 75th minute of play. Santiago Mino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Klawki in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Saul Felo hit a great ball. Palermo's Jhonny Del Fierro was substituted for Arnoldo Medina. In the 82nd minute, Saul Felo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godo Møltoft in the 84th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Daniele Massaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Joey came out of the goal and Daniele Massaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Seggiano had won after a very even match.
