The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Recep Guftar fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kalatakaya F.C.'s protests and gave Recep Guftar a yellow card for diving instead. Recep Guftar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tonete Abaurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tonete Abaurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Fiúza came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kalatakaya F.C.'s Alejandro Chumacero. But to his dismay, Alejandro Chumacero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Recep Guftar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Tonete Abaurre dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Fiúza, 2-0. Gremio Viana were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Kalatakaya F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Augustin Panaiteanu took the corner. The corner led to Gremio Viana's Mariusz Lamczyk getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Recep Guftar tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Recep Guftar made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, one of Kalatakaya F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kalatakaya F.C.:s Luis Galarza showed great skill when he stopped Augustin Panaiteanu:s penalty. Kalatakaya F.C. made a substitution. Federico Valcareggi replaced Antonello Da Messina. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Benito Lluterio was substituted for Jair Reinoso. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Tony Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremio Viana's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Påk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Galarza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Luna charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Luna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Samuel Fiúza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonete Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Luna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Luis Galarza made a huge save. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kalatakaya F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Augustin Panaiteanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Gremio Viana's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gremio Viana's corner Augustin Panaiteanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luis Galarza quite easily take care of the ball. Mariusz Lamczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Luis Galarza made a huge save. Carlos Luna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Galarza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 87 minutes Kalatakaya F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augustin Panaiteanu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Gremio Viana's corner Augustin Panaiteanu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luis Galarza quite easily take care of the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Tonete Abaurre came free, but Samuel Fiúza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kalatakaya F.C. booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Calisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Federico Valcareggi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza didn't even have to move. A collision led to Gremio Viana getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Fabrizio Crognale hit a great ball. Samuel Fiúza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonete Abaurre in the 100th minute of play. Kalatakaya F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
