Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Novaes in the 4th minute of the match. Hannover Football Club's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Novaes in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Carneiro in the 6th minute of play forced Hannover Football Club's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute Rubinho Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Édouard Mendy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genílson Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Gallarde in the 13th minute of play forced Hannover Football Club's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hannover Football Club's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Novaes in the 19th minute of play. Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Ödman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Édouard Mendy was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Novaes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Hannover Football Club's Édouard Mendy got control of the ball when Rubinho Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 55 minutes of play, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Genílson Carneiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Édouard Mendy was left in no man's land by his defense there! 60 minutes into the match, Rubinho Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Édouard Mendy. Hannover Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Rubinho Novaes in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 75th minute, Genílson Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hala Madrid Iraki FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Hannover Football Club's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Carneiro in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Hala Madrid Iraki FC were awarded a corner. Mats Hermansson went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Hannover Football Club's Vítor Diniz got a free kick in the 88th minute. Mats Hermansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Hermansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciro Di Marzio hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ruben Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Vasconcelos in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Genílson Carneiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Édouard Mendy. The goal made the score 0-4.
