Maxim Nae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Cabezon in the 8th minute of play. Maximino Cabezon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxim Nae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. ACF Fiorentina's Hu Xi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dumitru Iulian, made in the 11th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Cabezon came free, but Maxim Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Maximino Cabezon made a precise shot to the right of Maxim Nae. Avantul Hirlau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maximino Cabezon might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxim Nae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Cabezon ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxim Nae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, ACF Fiorentina's Claudinei Velloso got control of the ball when Iurie Avacariței tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 minutes, Nicolae Ghițulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantul Hirlau and the ACF Fiorentina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avantul Hirlau! 34 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Cabezon came free, but Maxim Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Bărcăuan in the 38th minute of play. When Maximino Cabezon came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the ACF Fiorentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Cabezon couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Cabezon in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Nae saved Avantul Hirlau from getting behind. Maximino Cabezon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxim Nae having to make a save. The Avantul Hirlau players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ACF Fiorentina were winning 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Cabezon to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudinei Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Bărcăuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Maximino Cabezon took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maxim Nae. Maxim Nae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maxim Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Cabezon in the 60th minute of the match. Saturnino Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ACF Fiorentina's Candido Piearres was substituted for Aquiles Olentzaro. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Hernán Leandro replaced Maximino Cabezon. ACF Fiorentina's Anselmo Luar was substituted for Saturnino Michael. Maxim Nae didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernán Leandro went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 77 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's Hernán Leandro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxim Nae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernán Leandro in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxim Nae prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae got control of the ball when Hernán Leandro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Avantul Hirlau's zone, Hernán Leandro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim Nae came out of the goal and Hernán Leandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avantul Hirlau's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Hernán Leandro scored to the left of an out of position Maxim Nae, making the score, 0-5. 92 minutes into the match, George Stoicu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Velloso. ACF Fiorentina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that George Stoicu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. ACF Fiorentina's Hernán Leandro got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ACF Fiorentina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
