An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Romero in the 21st minute of play forced Spor Las Huevas's goalkeeper Jacobo Autran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Autran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anaia Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilbo Bermudez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Spor Las Huevas made a substitution. Carlo Citrullo replaced Lartaun Riera. Spor Las Huevas's Gonzalo Benavente was substituted for Furtado Abuleta. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Benavente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Abel de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Spor Las Huevas's Horado Oton got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Abel de Lara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Autran skillfully saved the ball. Guga Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Benavente in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match Spor Las Huevas got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bilbo Bermudez ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bernebe Sotes sped through Mexilhão F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erez Negrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guga Tavares made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gonzalo Benavente sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Citrullo in the 74th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Spor Las Huevas's Carlo Citrullo to fire away a dangerous shot which Guga Tavares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute Abel de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Autran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erez Negrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Guga Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Abel de Lara notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Spor Las Huevas's Jacobo Autran. Jacobo Autran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes in the game, Erez Negrini fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Guga Tavares having to interfere. Spor Las Huevas's Gonzalo Benavente got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
