Guga Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capua Whitewolves. Andres Oper took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Tavares. Guga Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Capua Whitewolves's Mait Pihl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Capua Whitewolves from getting a goal against them. Mait Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Andres Oper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mait Pihl made a huge save. The Capua Whitewolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mait Pihl should have stopped the shot. Guga Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Oper in the 59th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 62nd minute, but Guga Tavares got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Mexilhão F. C. hanging dry this time. In the 64th minute of the match Capua Whitewolves got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eugenio Ingegno ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eugenio Ingegno got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guga Tavares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Germano Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mait Pihl having to interfere. Elari Hirv might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elari Hirv ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elari Hirv. Elari Hirv's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Guga Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 74 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gedson Fernandes came free, but Guga Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capua Whitewolves's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Germano Siqueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexilhão F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexilhão F. C.'s Serafino Herena to fire away a dangerous shot which Mait Pihl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 94th minute Elari Hirv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mexilhão F. C. manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Capua Whitewolves to win.
