Nike Cavia might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calistrat Madgearu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nike Cavia ran back to his position shaking his head. Reynaldo Jaume made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Tiberiu Caramarin sent off a good shot on target. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nike Cavia in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Szittyák SE rege were awarded a corner. József Földvári went to the cornerflag to take it. Szittyák SE rege's Jácint Simon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Radu Sărăroiu in the 20 minute of the game. Nike Cavia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Szittyák SE rege booed when MIT Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Grigoroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szittyák SE rege's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihăiţă Ilarie was slow to take the kick. During this time MIT Craiova's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Dorin Banu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Reynaldo Jaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nike Cavia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szittyák SE rege's supporters rose to their feet, but Nike Cavia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Madgearu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Szittyák SE rege's Doctor Csizmadia got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in MIT Craiova's zone, Nike Cavia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Madgearu came out of the goal and Nike Cavia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nike Cavia to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nike Cavia. If Nike Cavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nike Cavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Calistrat Madgearu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Radu Sărăroiu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Szittyák SE rege's Lajos Tímár was substituted for Cristiano Ronald. Reynaldo Jaume was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Szittyák SE rege's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Orășan came free, but Reynaldo Jaume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 78th minute when Nicodim Orășan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. MIT Craiova made a substitution. Fabian Geantă replaced Mihăiţă Ilarie. The audience was convinced that László Gácsi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calistrat Madgearu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The Szittyák SE rege fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Jaume should have stopped the shot. MIT Craiova's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
