Georgi Dimitrov went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Georgi Dimitrov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ted Kobbeltvedt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, FC Drik's Ayvaz Taşkesen got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's Ahmet Refik Ülgü sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Kobbeltvedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, FC Drik's Gunvald Mitens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georgi Velinov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernst Barskov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Ahmet Refik Ülgü managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC CSKA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Refik Ülgü was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ahmet Refik Ülgü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Devlet İşcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Ronaldinho de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the FC CSKA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldinho de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Kobbeltvedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute of the match FC CSKA got a corner. FC Drik's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Georgi Dimitrov ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ahmet Refik Ülgü struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC CSKA. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hemming Glykær in the 62nd minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With splendid footwork Ahmet Refik Ülgü arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 64th minute. Gunvald Mitens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Georgi Velinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC CSKA's Ruslan Dzhalev was substituted for Ahmet Refik Ülgü. FC CSKA's Marc Hainl got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruslan Dzhalev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to interfere. Georgi Velinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devlet İşcan in the 77th minute of play. After 78 played minutes FC Drik got a freekick which was hit by Nikolas Tengbjerg. Ruslan Dzhalev scored 0-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 88 played minutes FC CSKA got a freekick which was hit by Tanel Kiik. Ruslan Dzhalev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruslan Dzhalev in the 93rd minute of play. Nikolas Tengbjerg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikolas Tengbjerg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nikolas Tengbjerg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
