But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dabi Saens couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Gothic Souls's goalkeeper Lemi Uğurlubey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dabi Saens. After the first half Gothic Souls were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gothic Souls's Ege Nesip was substituted for Erdinç Sarıalp. Lemi Uğurlubey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dabi Saens, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erhan Ascı in the 63rd minute of the match. The União Sport Clube Paredes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4.
