Potentia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Zoetmulder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Youth Academy Of Rhye were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jack Zoetmulder made a kick off. Frits Douwes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes S.C. Potentia got a freekick which was hit by Hans Jochemsen. Jonathan Vallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Zoetmulder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to S.C. Potentia getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tonny Bas hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Frits Douwes got a free kick in the 61st minute. Pierre Landzaat made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Kanti Lantin sent off a good shot on target. Fred Kruuse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Landzaat having to interfere. With 68 minutes on the clock, Roel Boeringe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 68 played minutes S.C. The crowd rose to their feet as Youth Academy Of Rhye's Egon Boberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pierre Landzaat. That made the score 0-5 after 77 minutes of play. Pierre Landzaat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kanti Lantin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 85 minute of play. In the 89th minute, Kanti Lantin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Zoetmulder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Vallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Fred Kruuse recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pierre Landzaat. Pierre Landzaat was a little too slow when Fred Kruuse got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-8. The S.C. Potentia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Youth Academy Of Rhye were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
