La Mano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piearres Olalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuan Xing Lin. Ed Palsma kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Rory Jobson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gone With the Win's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory Jobson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Piearres Olalla hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Ed Palsma got a free kick in the 87th minute. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over La Mano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. Gone With the Win's La Mano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Gone With the Win from getting a goal against them. Chants of The Underdogs echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Gone With the Win had held the ball for most of the match.
