The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 12 minutes, Rolando Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taşçıspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MIT Craiova's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kylian Charreton in the 15th minute of play. Dorin Banu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tony Githinji Muhoho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Kylian Charreton made a precise shot to the right of Calistrat Madgearu. MIT Craiova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Calistrat Madgearu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akın Turhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kylian Charreton in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Roland came free, but Calistrat Madgearu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Githinji Muhoho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Banu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Banu in the 35th minute of play forced Taşçıspor's goalkeeper Tony Githinji Muhoho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute of the match MIT Craiova got a corner. Taşçıspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihăiţă Ilarie ran over to the corner to take the kick. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kylian Charreton, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Taşçıspor's Burhanettin Ertüze was substituted for Akın Turhan. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kylian Charreton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kylian Charretons short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Calistrat Madgearu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 66th minute of the match, Kylian Charreton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Calistrat Madgearu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Calistrat Madgearu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kylian Charreton in the 70th minute. In the 91st match minute, Taşçıspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidayet Baran to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Dinu Grigoroiu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Githinji Muhoho skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Taşçıspor defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Githinji Muhoho. The Taşçıspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Githinji Muhoho should have stopped the shot. Rolando Roland took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calistrat Madgearu. Calistrat Madgearu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Taşçıspor's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
