The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosif Gurlui in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Cazimir saved Simared -MM- from getting behind. Zsigmond Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Şerbănoiu in the 11th minute of the match. The corner ended in Constantin Udubaşa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Gurlui in the 18th minute of play forced Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Iosif Gurlui hit a great ball. Eliodor Tărbac charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliodor Tărbac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eliodor Tărbac kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A hard shot 27 in the game by Iosif Gurlui from a close distance when the talented Ernest Cazimir managed to make a qualified save. Simared -MM-'s players were relieved. George Buzoianu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Ernest Cazimir skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ernest Cazimir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Gurlui in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Simared -MM-'s Aron Stoicea got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Buzoianu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Buzoianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute George Buzoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Cazimir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Aron Stoicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simared -MM- made a substitution. Leonard Ghiță replaced Virgil Dulgherescu. Aron Stoicea hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Eugen Mihăilă fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simared -MM-'s protests and gave Eugen Mihăilă a yellow card for diving instead. Eugen Mihăilă hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Anton Baicea. The supporters of Simared -MM- booed when F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Buzoianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zsigmond Pál was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leonard Ghiță. Ernest Cazimir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Buzoianu in the 76th minute of the match. Simared -MM-'s Ernest Cazimir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Buzoianu in the 79th minute of play. Simared -MM-'s Valeriu Balaban was substituted for Constantin Udubaşa. After 83 minutes Simared -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was George Buzoianu who took care of the corner kick. Anton Baicea was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernest Cazimir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Buzoianu in the 88th minute of play. Manuel Tărbac kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Dragalina in the 91st minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
