The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Ares in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Mao Bin Ao got a free kick in the 6th minute. Baal Ares might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zsigmond Pál. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baal Ares ran back to his position shaking his head. Zsigmond Pál took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baal Ares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Baal Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsigmond Pál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes F.C. Baia Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Filip Mihele. In the 17th minute Baal Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsigmond Pál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragoş Balint got a throw-in 20 minutes in the game and the ball was received by George Buzoianu. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Ares in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Baal Ares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ares FC -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Zé Augusto Maciel got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 43 played minutes Ares FC -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Eklund. George Buzoianus short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Luca Jivulescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. George Buzoianu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Luca Jivulescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zé Augusto Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and George Buzoianu made a kick off. In the 63rd minute George Buzoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luca Jivulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zsigmond Pál showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baal Ares, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes, Baal Ares made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Zsigmond Pál tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baal Ares couldn't finish the play. A collision led to F.C. Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Anton Baicea hit a great ball. After 80 played minutes Ares FC -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Maciel. George Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Ares FC -MM- booed when F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavian Podgoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Karadeniz Otay came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ares FC -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karadeniz Otay couldn't finish the play. Ares FC -MM-'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
