Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Simared -MM-'s Narcis Dragalina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game George Buzoianu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Simared -MM-'s Ernest Cazimir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 4th match minute, F.C. Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Buzoianu to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Gurlui blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernest Cazimir having to make a save. Simared -MM-'s Ernest Cazimir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iosif Gurlui in the 12th minute of play. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by George Buzoianu in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Zsigmond Pál had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narcis Dragalina. Octavian Podgoreanu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute of the match Constantin Udubaşa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zsigmond Pál skillfully saved the ball. Iosif Gurlui kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Dordea in the 29th minute of play forced Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s Dragoş Balint got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Zsigmond Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Beligan in the 51st minute of play. Ernest Cazimir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Gurlui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Buzoianu. George Buzoianu came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ernest Cazimir could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, George Buzoianu took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Ernest Cazimir to make any attempt to save it. In the 82nd match minute, Simared -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Dulgherescu to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Cazimir was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from George Buzoianu. If George Buzoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Buzoianu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Ernest Cazimir skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 96 played minutes Simared -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Ghiță. 97 minutes into the match, F.C. Baia Mare -MM-'s George Buzoianu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The F.C. Baia Mare -MM- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing F.C. Baia Mare -MM- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
