In the 8th minute of the match, Rolf Dyrbye tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luisão de Medeiros hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhardt Torgersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Rolf Dyrbye sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Doni Pimenta hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Christiano Palmeira got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Rolf Dyrbye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Alex Toscano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of STØD-G™'s Teis Harkild. Teis Harkild was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 34 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Palmeira. After a rather tough play, STØD-G™'s Rolf Dyrbye got a free kick in the 36th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Dyrbye, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Teis Harkild took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, STØD-G™'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pirani came free, but Teis Harkild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teis Harkild made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Cruz in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerhardt Torgersen made a kick off. Arnold Næsborg kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sérgio Cruz struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Teis Harkild didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra do Interior. If Gerhardt Torgersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teis Harkild came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Nelsinho Marinho. But to his dismay, Nelsinho Marinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when STØD-G™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Dyrbye didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palestra do Interior's Ronaldo Pirani suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Matthias Næblerød charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthias Næblerød the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matthias Næblerød kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Dyrbye in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Dyrbye in the 89th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Doni Pimenta hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Jonatan Sandrup made a precise shot to the right of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Palestra do Interior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palestra do Interior eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
