Leonel Rocco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qian Cheng Xing in the 13th minute of the match. Gaspar Lizardi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Miguel Ángel Benito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Cascadia United were awarded a corner. Rene Pueblo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Cascadia United's Rene Pueblo to fire away a dangerous shot which Sabin Pânzaru despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Lucio Gabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. the xeneise dream team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Gabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Miguel Ángel Benito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ángel Benito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Qian Cheng Xing got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Gabino in the 30th minute of play forced Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Farias made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Arda Ardashov. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cascadia United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andoni Paut was slow to take the kick. During this time the xeneise dream team's players had a chance to rest. 37 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Benito notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of the xeneise dream team's Sabin Pânzaru. Sabin Pânzaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qian Cheng Xing in the 56th minute of play. After 60 played minutes the xeneise dream team got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Gabino. Habil Castolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Rocco having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Gabino in the 64th minute of play forced Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, the xeneise dream team's Habil Castolo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Rocco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Paolo Eutor replaced Qian Cheng Xing. the xeneise dream team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andoni Paut in the 70th minute. When Isaac Sundberg came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the the xeneise dream team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Sundberg couldn't finish the play.
