Florentino Herauso made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Claudio Noguera sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Claudio Noguera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Noguera in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florentino Herauso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. El coca fc's Florencio Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polo Quinteros in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Claudio Noguera managed to get in a good position for a shot. El coca fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Noguera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Herauso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Polo Quinteros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florencio Osasun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. El coca fc's Silvano Porfirio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Polo Quinteros in the 43 minute of the game. The supporters of Santa Lucia de Merlo booed when El coca fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Sansone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Noguera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Van Landschoot came free, but Florentino Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mattijs Robijns, made in the 83rd minute of the game. El coca fc's Florencio Osasun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save El coca fc from getting a goal against them. Santa Lucia de Merlo were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after El coca fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnaldo Chano took the corner.
