Rejunte de perros's Luis Artime got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octavio Truylos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Luis Artime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Polo Quinteros in the 28th minute of play forced Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Marcelo Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Chano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marcelo Armani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Levan Poggenborg came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Santa Lucia de Merlo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Levan Poggenborg couldn't finish the play. Rejunte de perros's Marcelo Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Hartz in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rejunte de perros's Iisakki Hilden got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute Luis Artime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Arnaldo Chano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes, Rejunte de perros's Iisakki Hilden shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florentino Herauso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rejunte de perros reached it. The Santa Lucia de Merlo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rejunte de perros were winning 0-1.

A wasted opportunity for Rejunte de perros. If M. Agus Young had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Thomás Barral took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Florentino Herauso to make any attempt to save it. After 84 minutes of play, Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Armani was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Ademir Rezende in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santa Lucia de Merlo's Alvaro Llorienzo. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Rogelio Funes Mori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rejunte de perros's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Funes Mori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Herauso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the match, Rejunte de perros's goal looked a bit too open when M. Agus Young came free, but Marcelo Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rejunte de perros's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
