Cecilio Tristan started the match with the kick off. If Sixto Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Tristan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Acatincăi made a huge save. When AFTER GYM FC's Sixto Lorenz in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Raimundo Chorche kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, AFTER GYM FC's Ovidiu Acatincăi got control of the ball when Cecilio Tristan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fiori Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Sixto Lorenz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFTER GYM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixto Lorenz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Lorenz came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Lorenz in the 35th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abuba Akotonon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFTER GYM FC the free kick. After 44 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by J.J Okocha. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Lorenz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, J.J Okocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52ndth minute of the game Sixto Lorenz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. J.J Okocha hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. AFTER GYM FC's Maciej Burdzel was substituted for Sixto Lorenz. If Maciej Burdzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abuba Akotonon FC's Vânderson Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Maciej Burdzel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. 80 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maciej Burdzel came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Vânderson Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maciej Burdzel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maciej Burdzel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Orlando Gatti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The AFTER GYM FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFTER GYM FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
