Lucas Seme came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hernan Firme could save by the left post. Eustacio Medina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Hernan Firme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 18 minutes into the game, Eustacio Medina lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Hernan Firme. Hernan Firme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustacio Medina's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Daniel Agostini struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hernan Firme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reconquistense FC. Prospero Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hernan Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Eustacio Medina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustacio Medina got free with Hernan Firme in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes Unión y Progreso Tandil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Agostini who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Unión y Progreso Tandil's Daniel Brun got a free kick in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eustacio Medina to strike the kick off in the second half. Hernan Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Medina in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Medina in the 55th minute of play forced Unión y Progreso Tandil's goalkeeper Hernan Firme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Reconquistense FC's Eustacio Medina made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernan Firme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hernan Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Ahlqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnulfo Gamus's late challenge caught a Unión y Progreso Tandil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Gamus helped the player get up and apologised. Hernan Firme came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Reconquistense FC's Jan Ahlqvist. But to his dismay, Jan Ahlqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 84 minutes into the match, Reconquistense FC's Jan Ahlqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Firme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reconquistense FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
