To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Guter Tobia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Epifanio Guerrero. The goal made the score 2-0. Marcial Bakar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Oskitz in the 28th minute of the match. alvarado's Epifanio Guerrero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save alvarado from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute of the match Aves Negras got a corner. alvarado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aves Negras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guter Tobia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Clarence Seedorf went to the cornerflag to take it. Aves Negras's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
