Tord Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tord Söderqvist struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gregorio Lehior didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ. Tord Söderqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Gregorio Lehior made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Rolando Guilabertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Scigan in the 28th minute of play forced ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Vicky Donda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Tord Söderqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Faustão Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Tord Söderqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gregorio Lehior. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tacheros de Buenos Aires's zone, Ángel Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Lehior came out of the goal and Ángel Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tord Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Tacheros de Buenos Aires from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 55th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gregorio Lehior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Haritz kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Gregorio Lehior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Söderqvist in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ were awarded a corner. Hernan Chico went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hernan Chico almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior did a great save. Tord Söderqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Lehior read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Vicky Donda got control of the ball when Faustão Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zbyszek Scigan in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Guaberto Haritz got a free kick in the 68th minute. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Söderqvist in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Tord Söderqvist notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior. Gregorio Lehior was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vicky Donda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida in the 85th minute of play. Gregorio Lehior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Söderqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Söderqvist in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Lehior saved Tacheros de Buenos Aires from getting behind. Faustão Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Tord Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Lehior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Ángel Romero got a free kick in the 96th minute.
