Cable a Tierra's Apolo Quilo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Cable a Tierra from getting a goal against them. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Gaitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Oséas Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Quilo. Cable a Tierra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséas Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 20 minutes, Ernani Valladares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agua Santa and the Cable a Tierra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Agua Santa's Tomé Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Ekain in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Ekain in the 36th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Gaitan in the 38th minute of play. Agua Santa's Jânio Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agua Santa made a substitution. Enrique Abreu replaced Ernani Valladares. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséas Trigo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Oséas Trigo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Gaitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Agua Santa's Tomé Mota got control of the ball when Baltasar Gaitan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomé Mota made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Baltasar Gaitan sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jânio Arantes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Abreu in the 86th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Apolo Quilo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apolo Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
