An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Óskar Aspfors got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 7 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Óskar Aspfors came free, but Dudu de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Célio Nóbrega hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Adrianinho Torres sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Scarlet Speedster's Dudu de Toledo didn't even have to move. When Scarlet Speedster's Jânio Guimarães in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's goalie prevented a goal. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Carlinhos Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Peres in the 23rd minute of play. Dudu de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óskar Aspfors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dudu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óskar Aspfors in the 28th minute of play. Róbson Nascimento came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dudu de Toledo could save by the left post. In the 34th minute Jânio Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbson Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scarlet Speedster's Júnior da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlinhos Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Carlinhos Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óskar Aspfors to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Óskar Aspfors to make the kick off. The supporters of ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dudu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óskar Aspfors in the 52nd minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's Óskar Aspfors nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dudu de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óskar Aspfors in the 58th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Dudu de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Lino Paiva hit a great ball. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise made a substitution. Marco Dias replaced Andrézinho Vieira. After 66 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Júnior da Fonseca. The supporters of ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 played minutes ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Antunes. Scarlet Speedster made a substitution. In the 88th minute, Scarlet Speedster's Cafu Toledo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlinhos Vieira. Carlinhos Vieira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Adrianinho Torres came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrianinho Torres couldn't finish the play. ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Cafu Toledo scored to the left of an out of position Carlinhos Vieira, making the score, 1-2. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
