Alfa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo de Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PEÇONHENTO FC MG! PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Matías Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vieira in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Rodrigues came free, but Matías Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well done corner resulted in Pedro Luiz Marinho drilling the ball in to score 0-4 behind Alfa FC's goalkeeper. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joélson Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Luiz Marinho got free with Durval Secco in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute of the match, Manfredo de Sena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Durval Secco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
