The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Montenegro in the 5th minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Charles Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8thth minute of the game Maicon de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edvaldo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Alcântara in the 20th minute of play. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Charles Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon de Amorim in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Sérgio Chaves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Charles Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Charles Sarmento came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Emanuel Branco. But to his dismay, Emanuel Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Paraibano in the 37th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maicon de Amorim in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Edvaldo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Alcântara in the 54th minute of the match. Nilson Paraibano took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Costa. Edvaldo Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 59th minute of the match Róbson Prata shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvaldo Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 63 minutes, Chicão Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF and the Jovens Democratas MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Paulinho Fonseca replaced César Coelho. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Adriano Secco got a free kick in the 79th minute. Charles Sarmento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otávio Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Edvaldo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
