After 2 played minutes Alfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Camargo. After a defensive mix-up in PEÇONHENTO FC MG's zone, Leandro Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías Valle came out of the goal and Leandro Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Maicon Toscano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Patrick Cardozo, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Manfredo de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Noel Rosado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Patrick Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maurício de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matías Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurício de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when PEÇONHENTO FC MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joélson Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Elivélton Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Sílvio Luiz do Vale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matías Valle skillfully saved the ball. After 28 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Toscano. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Hugo Neiva got a free kick in the 34th minute. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Matías Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Camargo in the 42nd minute of play. Alfa FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Maicon Toscano scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Cardozo, making the score, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the game, Noel Rosado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Patrick Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Joélson Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Valle was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the game, Maurício de Lara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matías Valle. Maurício de Lara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. After some careless play in the PEÇONHENTO FC MG defense, Leandro Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Valle. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Valle should have stopped the shot. Patrick Cardozo came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Maicon Toscano. But to his dismay, Maicon Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. Matías Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício de Lara's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Leandro Camargo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Matías Valle made a huge save. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Matías Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício de Lara in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Alfa FC's Leandro Camargo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matías Valle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-5. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
