In the 15th minute, Godfredo Firman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When VERΛ's Luisito Caradaro in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Danilo Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Rosendo Bidun hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's Modesto Ugaitz tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Delmar Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Firman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Walme hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes, Eleuterio Ferdinand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VERΛ and the ⲨⲀⲚⲀ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes ⲨⲀⲚⲀ got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Rodas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Firman in the 57th minute of play forced VERΛ's goalkeeper Delmar Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ⲨⲀⲚⲀ booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Caradaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Txatxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmar Bartoleme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Abel Maldonado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmar Bartoleme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. VERΛ's Lorenzo Louis got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ubaldo Ishmael struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Delmar Bartoleme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⲨⲀⲚⲀ. Iker Azubeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Louis in the 86th minute of play forced ⲨⲀⲚⲀ's goalkeeper Iker Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to VERΛ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luisito Caradaro hit a great ball. ⲨⲀⲚⲀ were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over VERΛ's much stronger midfield.
