But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Attilio Mascitti couldn't finish the play. Pastor Frantzes made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Attilio Mascitti sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute of the match Sajones F.C. got a corner. CA Boca Jrs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Claude ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pastor Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anoush Rott in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise De Rossi in the 22nd minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Alfieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Raitin in the 25th minute of the match. Sajones F.C.'s Hugo Raitin got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Fidel Macerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Attilio Mascitti came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pastor Frantzes could save by the left post. Pastor Frantzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise De Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Roger Junior managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sajones F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Junior was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Alfieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sajones F.C.'s Pastor Frantzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise De Rossi in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match, Alvise De Rossi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pastor Frantzes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Sajones F.C.'s Gaspar Mambru got a free kick in the 39th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Sajones F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Cinalli came free, but Pastor Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Raitin was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Sajones F.C. were awarded a corner. Eliseo Claude went to the cornerflag to take it. Sajones F.C.'s Eliseo Claude was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adriano Alfieri in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute, Eliseo Claude hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
