Alexandre Tepedino started the match with the kick off. José Paulo de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Válter Martins got a free kick in the 5th minute. Vascogoianiense FC's Agnaldo Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Aguiar in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Válter Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vascogoianiense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abutres 2003 FDP the free kick. Abutres 2003 FDP made a substitution. Cristóvão de Salles replaced Mathias Catarinense. Válter Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Caio Aguiar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agnaldo Tinoco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Caio Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Abutres 2003 FDP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Aguiar couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Tepedino came free, but Caio da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agnaldo Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Lira in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Válter Martins got a free kick in the 18th minute. Luisão Secco made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bob Oconnell however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Lira in the 24th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Agnaldo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Paulo de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Caio da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão de Salles took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agnaldo Tinoco. Agnaldo Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão de Salles made a kick off. After some careless play in the Abutres 2003 FDP defense, Alexandre Tepedino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio da Costa. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio da Costa should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Waldemar Ortiz got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Agnaldo Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristóvão de Salles in the 65th minute. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when Abutres 2003 FDP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caio da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo de Barros in the 71st minute of the match. José Paulo de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Caio da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Agnaldo Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóvão de Salles. Alexandre Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Caio da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio da Costa having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Tepedino came free, but Caio da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, José Paulo de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
