Betão Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Gil Guerra made a huge save. Gil Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Travassos in the 5th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvaldo Madureira during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Madureira to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Anderson de Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sydney Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Gil Guerra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 25th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Senna to maneuver through the defense. The Grêmio 20 Julho fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Grêmio 20 Julho's Jael Jardel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Saldanha came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betão Senna hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Granadero10 were furious when Severino Mendes was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Severino Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. César da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 minutes, Anderson de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio 20 Julho and the Granadero10 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anderson de Sousa hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Gil Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Falcão in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jael Jardel made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson de Sousa came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sydney Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin Falcão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gil Guerra having to make a save. After some careless play in the Granadero10 defense, Jael Jardel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Barros. The Granadero10 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Barros should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Anderson de Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sydney Barros. The goal made the score 0-4. After 69 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Rekowski. Grêmio 20 Julho made a substitution. José Saraiva replaced Donato Saldanha. In the 70th match minute, Grêmio 20 Julho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcin Rekowski to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hortêncio de Medeiros hit a great ball. Grêmio 20 Julho's Gil Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Senna in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Granadero10's Sydney Barros got control of the ball when Jael Jardel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Falcão in the 83rd minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Gil Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. César da Silveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sydney Barros. Granadero10's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sydney Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Passos in the 93rd minute. Jael Jardel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sydney Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Franklin Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
