Gabriel Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Caio Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caio Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caio Aguiar hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Vinícius Soeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Vicente Toscano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vinícius Soeiro scored 2-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Soeiro got free with Vicente Toscano in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vicente Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Vidal in the 41st minute. After 45 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Baiano. In the 46th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Zé Carlos Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo de Barros. Jairo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Tepedino got free with Caio da Costa in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vascogoianiense FC's zone, Zé Carlos Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Toscano came out of the goal and Zé Carlos Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vascogoianiense FC's Angelo Maria was substituted for Alexandre Tepedino. Caio da Costa made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when José Paulo de Barros sent off a good shot on target. After 69 minutes of play, Abutres 2003 FDP's Zé Carlos Lira made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. José Paulo de Barros hit a great ball. Vicente Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovani do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geovani do Nascimento hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. João Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio da Costa having to interfere. Vicente Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Lira in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Lira came free, but Vicente Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes Abutres 2003 FDP got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Soeiro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Carlos Lira during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 94 minutes into the match, Abutres 2003 FDP's goal looked a bit too open when João Pirani came free, but Caio da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
