Günalp Taştan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bitelon FC - SAF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Juvenal Jacinto hit a great ball. After 25 minutes Grêmio 20 Julho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bert Greenan who took care of the corner kick. Bert Greenan made a great header on Bitelon FC - SAF's corner, it was just that Grêmio 20 Julho's Jonathan Zanette managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 27th minute, Ramiro Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bitelon FC - SAF's zone, Daniel Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Bitelon FC - SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Daniel Neves in the 46th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Günalp Taştan's left hand side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
