João Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Trigo having to make a save. Telmo Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Breno Sá went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo got control of the ball when Breno Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenílson Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, João Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Telmo Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Breno Sá in the 26th minute. In the 26th minute, BRASIL.Sp's Breno Sá ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 33rd minute, João Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serginho Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as João Freire kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Trigo. That made the score 5-0 in the 37 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, BRASIL.Sp's Breno Sá sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the A.A. Francana defense, Breno Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Telmo Trigo. The A.A. Francana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Telmo Trigo should have stopped the shot. Frédson Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Cido Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lenílson Quintal skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dito Paraíba to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Dito Paraíba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dito Paraíba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 53 minutes into the game, José Vítor Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.A. Francana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BRASIL.Sp the free kick. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's José Vítor Carvalho got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Dito Paraíba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BRASIL.Sp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Telmo Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Kiko Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Freire in the 64th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Telmo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the A.A. Francana defense, João Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Telmo Trigo. The A.A. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, João Freire put it in 13-0 from a short distance just to the right of Telmo Trigo. In the 92nd minute, BRASIL.Sp's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after José Vítor Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Frédson Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in BRASIL.Sp's zone, Cido Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Quintal came out of the goal and Cido Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The BRASIL.Sp players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
