Francana getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Raí da Silva hit a great ball. Reinaldo Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Wilson Cassia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Luís Eduardo França managed to get in a good position for a shot. October 04's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Eduardo França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Cassia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. October 04's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because A.A. Francana had won, even though October 04 had held more of the ball.
