In the 6th minute, David Luis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Wilson Cassia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ni Feng Nan. A.A. Francana's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ni Feng Nan 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ni Feng Nan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warren FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ni Feng Nan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Cassia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acácio Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Bocanegra in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Denílson Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.A. Francana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warren FC - DMZ the free kick. Acácio Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Bocanegra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match A.A. Francana got a corner. Warren FC - DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cido Vinhas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilson Cassia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ni Feng Nan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Ni Feng Nan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Wilson Cassia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ni Feng Nan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Wilson Cassia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denílson Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Wilson Cassia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ni Feng Nan. Warren FC - DMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Luis in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that Kiko Vides got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Cassia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 40 minutes into the match, Ni Feng Nan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Cassia, 3-0. Wilson Cassia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ni Feng Nan in the 43rd minute of play. A.A. Francana's Wilson Cassia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. Rui Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ni Feng Nan to make the kick off. Kiko Santos made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Warren FC - DMZ's Afonsinho Marques. Warren FC - DMZ's Ni Feng Nan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Warren FC - DMZ's Vágner de Queiroz got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Frederico Vianna made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Cassia. A.A. Francana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Warren FC - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after A.A. Francana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Luis took the corner. Edmílson Brito hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Vianna in the 79th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Wilson Cassia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Cassia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico Vianna's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The audience was convinced that Frederico Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Cassia was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Vianna in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Cassia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 minutes, Cido Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.A. Francana and the Warren FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cido Vinhas hit a great ball. Warren FC - DMZ's Zé Roberto Pires was substituted for Vágner de Queiroz. In the 89th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in A.A. Francana's zone, David Luis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Cassia came out of the goal and David Luis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Wilson Cassia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frederico Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Cassia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When Frederico Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Warren FC - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Vianna couldn't finish the play.
